Ingredients

1 cup cake flour
1 ½ tbsps. matcha powder
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2-3 eggs
1 ½ tsps. vanilla extract
2 tbsps. softened butter
1 ¼ cup powdered sugar
1 ½ tsps. milk

Procedure

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C.
  2. Sift together the cake flour, baking powder, salt, and matcha powder.
  3. Beat the eggs in a bowl with sugar and milk until smooth. Add vanilla extract.
  4. Mix the flour blend and make a batter.
  5. Pour the mixture into round pans.
  6. Bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes. Cool for a half an hour.
  7. For the frosting, mix powdered sugar, matcha, butter, vanilla until smooth. You can an electric mixer for this.
  8. When the cakes are cooled, thinly spread a layer of frosting.
  9. Serve after refrigerating.

Extra tips

To make sure the cake’s cooked, use the toothpick method. Push in a toothpick and if it comes out clean, then your cake’s cooked.
