Ingredients

4 cups water (You can use sparkling water if you like)
5 jasmine tea bags or 3 tbsps. loose jasmine tea
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
Sugar as per taste
Ice cubes

Procedure

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan and cool for a few minutes.
  2. Stir in sugar and put the tea bags/leaves into the saucepan.
  3. Steep for 10 minutes.
  4. Using a strainer, separate the tea leaves and pour the tea into a pitcher.
  5. Add the fresh lemon juice and refrigerate until chilled.
  6. Serve with ice cubes, a lemon wedge and mint leaves.

Extra tips

You can also garnish with cinnamon sticks.

You can also make this iced tea with green tea and honey. Here is a variation to this recipe.

  1. In a saucepan, boil water with tea bags and honey.
  2. Turn off the heat and allow to cool for a few minutes.
  3. Add mint sprigs and steep for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove the tea bags or strain the tea leaves using a strainer.
  5. Pour into a pitcher and refrigerate until chilled.
  6. Serve with ice cubes and lemon slices.
